Exclusive Access, Shared Experiences, By members, For members.

All Forum Programs are imbued with the unique insights, access and experience of our members. Our membership encompasses a broad array of industries, institutions and cultures—enabling us to tap into the most exciting happenings, ideas and people of New York City and the world. Forum members share an intellectual curiosity and enthusiasm for life in our city. By leveraging our connections, we create a diverse mix of in-depth programs that educate, empower, enlighten and entertain.

The key criteria for any Forum Program is that it must provide exclusivity — a program you can only experience by being a Forum member.

The breadth of our programs includes experiences such as Chatham House Rules sessions with Supreme Court Justices Ruth Bader Ginsberg and Sonia Sotomayor, going behind the scenes at the Tony Awards, a private viewing of the Whitney Biennial, a discussion of Women in Sports with Billie Jean King, the Ultimate Behind the Scenes at Opening Weekend of the 2017 Venice Biennale, a post-election discussion of America’s Place in the World with UN Ambassador Samantha Powers and a candid view of the Global Refugee Crisis with David Milliband.

Our robust calendar of topical programs is complimented by our Signature and Flagship events that bring the values of our Forum Credo to life.

Forum Signature Programs

Small Dinners

What happens when an international sports icon, an FBI agent, a Tony Award winning producer, a bank president, a fashion influencer and a tech entrepreneur get together for dinner? The Women’s Forum of New York knows! Three nights a year, members across New York City open their homes and invite fellow members to dinner.

These intimately curated occasions forge friendships and fresh connections that transcend generations, with conversations as dynamic and unique as the women in the room. Always our most popular members-only program, these dinners confirm that the greatest benefit of Forum membership is the chance to meet outstanding women you simply would not meet any other way.

Share Your Passion

These special programs bring out the multiple dimensions of our members, showcasing their passions beyond their professional roles. The CEO of a global fashion label shares her passion for wine with an exclusive tasting; an expert in legal recruitment who also happens to be a world champion poker player, teaches us winning strategies for Texas Hold’em; a corporate affairs leader shares her story of genealogy.  The more you discover about our members, the more you will value Forum membership.

Rising Star Breakfast

This annual event launched in 2016 kicks off our fall program season in September. It represents our way of introducing younger women to the Forum and seeding the aspiration of Forum membership.

The event demonstrates our Credo value, “Women inspiring women never gets old,” with a speaker that transcends generations. MSNBC star Alex Witt partners with us each fall and has led inspiring conversations with leaders that include: turnaround expert Mindy Grossman, who transformed the fortunes of HSN Inc. and Weight Watchers and Sherry Lansing, a Hollywood legend.

Forum Flagship Events

Our Forum has two flagship events to support our key initiatives:

Breakfast of Corporate Champions

The flagship event of our Corporate Board Initiative is dedicated to accelerating the advancement of women on corporate boards. This biennial event salutes the S&P 500 and F1000 companies who exceed the national average of Board Seats held by women, with special recognition for those approaching our goal of parity.  It includes panels comprised of influential industry leaders discussing how to accomplish the strategic business imperative of gender balance in the boardroom. The Breakfast was launched in 2011 and has become an essential industry event attracting over 600 corporate leaders. Our next Breakfast of Corporate Champions, on November 7, 2019,  will salute companies with at least 30% Board Seats held by women.
